Are you a seasoned backend engineer ready to tackle the complex world of real-time, high-frequency data exchange? Our client, a fast-growing B2B iGaming platform provider in Malta, is building the future of Sports Exchange services—and they need top engineering talent to make it happen.

💼 About the Role

We’re looking for a senior backend developer (language agnostic) with deep knowledge in designing high-performance, distributed systems. You’ll work in a core product team focused on building scalable, event-driven architectures that power millions of transactions across casino, sportsbook, and exchange products.

This is a strategic, high-impact role in a team responsible for one of the most technically demanding areas of the platform.

🔧 Tech Stack (You don’t need them all—expertise in any of these is welcome!)

Languages: Go, Node.js, Java, Rust, Ruby on Rails
Messaging & Stream Processing: gRPC, RabbitMQ, NATS Jetstream
Datastores: Redis, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
Cloud & Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines
Architecture: Microservices, real-time APIs, event-driven systems

✅ What You’ll Do

Architect and develop backend systems for real-time sports exchange services
Design high-throughput, low-latency services
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions
Lead code reviews, system design discussions, and performance tuning
Mentor other engineers and help define technical best practices

Job requirements

🎯 What We’re Looking For

5+ years of backend experience in complex, high-performance systems
Proven expertise in at least one of these backend languages ; Go, Java, Node.js, Rust, RoR
Experience with microservices and event-driven design
Familiarity with message queues and real-time data pipelines
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Proficient in English
